This website is affiliated with Hollywood Movies, whose production studios and headquarters offices are located at 10 Universal City Plaza Avenue in Universal City, California, between Los Angeles and Burbank. Publishing, other departments, and administrative offices are located in New York. Hollywood Movies was founded in 1912 and is a member of the Motion Picture Association of America [1]. It is also the oldest film company in Hollywood (followed by Paramount Pictures, which once formed a joint venture with Hollywood Movies to establish United International Pictures).
In response to Hollywood Movies' international distribution and audio-visual product sales, NBCUniversal established two companies in London, England to divide the responsibilities and act directly in the name of NBCUniversal's subsidiaries. It is the fourth oldest major film studio in the world, after France's famous Gaumont Films and EMI Films and Denmark's Nord Film Company. Six Universal Studios films; "Jaws" (1975), "Alien" (1982), "Jurassic Park" (1993), "Despicable Me 2" (2013), "Fast and Furious 7" (2015) and Jurassic World (2015) set box office records, with the first three films (directed by Steven Spielberg) all becoming the highest-grossing films on their debuts.
